As for those proficiency bonus it's bad enough that the majority of ALL usable weapons are made to kill armor now every single one of those weapons are going to bend us over just a little bit further. The proficiency bonus should affect the weak weapon damage profile not the strong one.
I've said this so much SHORT RANGE WEAPONS CANNOT HAVE LOWER DPS THAN LONG RANGE WEAPONS AND A 2.7% DPS DIFFERENCE VS A 40% RANGE DIFFERENCE IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!
Let me tell you how it will go. CCP will release the notes, the ilk of the forums will tell them they are stupid and should be fired, the forum warriors will do math and tell everyone what the OP and UP gear is and then tell CCP that they suck and don't understand anything.

Then why are you surprised. It is how it goes every time. I say have patience before getting notes and I don't remember ever saying to trust CCP. I have said that they won't break their pattern but I don't think I have ever said trust them. I am not saying that it isn't OP or UP I am just saying that this game is as predictable as a clock. It has happened every time and why would it change now?

If every time they release something and the same thing happens every time then it is justifiable to say that it will happen the next time until they break the cycle. I don't base stock purchases from charts, they do help but sometimes instinct and research does a better job. Also, the last time I check it is completely moronic to but a stock without looking at past performance. This article from The Wall Street Journal.

Seems to me like doing research and basing future projections off of past performance is the best way to predict what is going to happen. I am not saying it is set in stone but for the most part you can trust a dog to be a dog.
